In 2000 years we got it all wrong

We’ve loved and laughed, even cried

We went forth and multiplied

In religions name, we’ve taken all

Until at last we lost our souls

We rape and murder our fellow man

Take advantage whenever we can

We’ve laboured hard all through our days

Turning our brothers into slaves

The world is watered with acid rain

Oil reserves go up in flames

Those down south they get rich quick

While northerners end up poor and sick

But in the end, all that it means

We lost our way because of greed

While politicians sit and shout

The laws of nature we still flout

The richness of this world abused

Love and hatred further confused

Raging wars that last for years

Hope destroyed amidst the tears

With the advent of the nuclear bomb

The downfall of man has finally come

​
