Elemental (To be read out at my funeral)
I dwell on the earth I live in the air
I'm always around and yet never there
Existing in water the fire in the sky
This spirit of nature is never denied
My body's the planet on which you now stand
And all that’s upon it was so neatly planned
Rejoice in your life for all that its worth
Enjoy to the fullest your short time on earth
My breath is the light wind that ruffles your hair
And whispers life's secrets that hang on the air
Revering my freedom I travel at will
Through yon distant valleys, and over the hills
My soul is the fire that follows each night
That warms up the planet and bathes it in light
For justice and truth and love in your hearts
The strength of our union no evil can part
My tears are the raindrops that so softly fall
Sweet music of life, how clear is the call
Cascading down mountains as river and stream
Replacing dry deserts with acres of green
I dwell in the forests no longer alone
Remembered by many in circles of stone
A rock for my pillow the earth is my bed
And the starlit heavens right over my head
