Emerald Isle

A Land of magic and mystery.

The jewel of the Irish sea.

Druids roamed about this place,

Celtic people; An ancient race.

The jolly brogue, of the Irish folk.

The smell of the sweet, peat fire smoke.

Drinking in bars, where musicians play.

And hospitality is openly displayed.

The Wicklow mountains. The Blarney stone.

Locating my Granddad’s, family home.

Rugged coastlines, pastures of green.

The fairest land, ever seen.

Newgrange Tumulus, on a winter's morn,

The Shamrock, and the Leprechaun.

These are the things I'd like to see,

When I go to Ireland, with my wife, Kathy.
