Into The Light

As twilight falls, and stars appear;

When village folk recount their fears

The goddess bathes - in silvery light,

Omnipotent Ruler of the night

Devastation in her wake doth lay,

Routing the remnants of the day

Rejoicing from her lofty spire,

Quenching all the daytime fire

A constant battle, between dark and light

Symbolised as day and night,

The balance between right and wrong,

The struggle of life, for weak and strong!

And as the goddess glides on by,

Her light now fading from the sky;

All this and more springs to mind,

Some-time - somehow, the truth we'll find.

But now, new hope returns to earth,

With visible proof of our rebirth;

As darkness fades, behind the moon,

Shafts of brilliance - pierce the gloom.

Oh great Lugh - the time is nigh,

To race your steeds across the sky;

The goddess' power, once more doth wane,

Again, great lord, you bring the day.
