Kathy's Ode

 

In this world of disarray.

I strive to find the words to say,

About a love that's deep and strong.

Without which, I can't go on.

 

If and when, I am alone.

My private thoughts tend to roam.

Especially, when I think of you.

And all the things, I long to do.

 

I'd like to go far away.

Just you and I for the day.

Do the things we would never dare,

And let the world stand and stare.

 

A love to last, a love to feel.

I hope someday it could be real.

I'd love to take you by the hand,

And try to show you, the Promised Land.

 

I know my love - that it could be,

And my desire will last eternally.

You have your life. I have mine,

I know someday, they'll intertwine.

 

In my dreams I think of thee,

With all I say, and all I see.

A simple kiss, for me it's true,

Oh my darling, I love you!
