Love Has Turned To Hatred

Love has turned to hatred, laughter turned to tears.

I have wasted most of my life, though she has wasted years!

I was honest, I was true. For you I would have died.

Though in the end, I lost a friend, for it was you, that lied.

You played me like a good one, completely sucked me in.

You took me to a level of love, I’d never ever been.

You called the tune on my heart strings, melodies I’ve never heard.

Then you leave me, for your ex, now that I find absurd..

The many years you wasted, were well before our time.

Those few months you stole from us, were also part of mine.

I let you in, all barriers down. Cupid’s arrow hit its mark.

Then when you had no use for me, you went and broke my heart!

You made that change; I fell in love. Adored you, and loved my life.

I stupidly considered taking you, as my loving, caring wife.

And that is why I write this verse, a dedication from me to you.

Yvonne Marie Tweedy, you never were as true!
