Loves Fool
You never wondered, you never cared,
About the love in my heart;
All my hopes and my emotions,
You tore them all apart.
You led me on, I followed.
I believed in you, you lied.
You left me empty, devoid of caring,
With no emotions left to hide.
Who made the fool out of whom?
Was it I, who fooled myself?
And you kept stringing me on,
Then left me on the shelf
And you would never open up,
You would never tell me a thing.
Then you left me feeling like a puppet,
Who’s dangling on a string
Now I can't bear this agony.
Well that much - I guess you know.
I have nothing left to offer,
So please, just leave me alone.
