Pagan's Prayer

Within the sacred groves we gather,

With the richness of nature, we commune.

And the circle in which we stand - is life.

No beginning, no end, for all eternity,

A conjunction of man and earth, earth and soul.

Joyfully we gather to give praise for it all.

For we are the children of nature,

The gardeners of earth, our mother.

Yet we destroy the gift bequeathed us,

And deny ourselves true fulfilment of life.

Desecrating to satisfy our lust and greed.

Not understanding, we're destroying ourselves.

So we gather within the sacred groves,

To tend the wounds that needs to be healed.

And unlock the secrets in the circle of life,

So man can pass through to other realms.

To pass from darkness, and into the light,

And so breaking away from perpetual night.

For we are just one small part of nature,

As valid a part, as ever has been.

The spark of knowledge does shine bright,

And easily reached, for those who pay heed.

To grasp at ideas and change our thinking,

To improve the world, and realise our dreams.

So within the sacred groves we gather,

And with the richness of nature we commune.

And the circle in which we stand is life,

No beginning, no end, for all eternity,

And the joining of man and earth, and soul.

Together we gather to give praise for it all.
