Through Fire Through Ice

Through winters bleakness, cold winds slice,
That rips, and cuts through fire and ice.
The fire of passion for a love long lost,
Extinguished now, by your icy frost!
No more to lie in each other's arms,
No more playing on each other's charms.

As frosty days follow frosty nights,
My lonely heart makes lonesome flight.
It seeks and searches for you again,
Discontent, and wracked with pain.
It takes the course where the cold winds blow,
Reaching those places, that no-one should go.

Raging, rushing through wintery scenes,
Tearing at lungs my nightmarish screams!
Screaming for passion, my heart's desire,
That warms up the soul, with loves sweet fire.
Your fiery embrace, which once was mine,
Lost, not forgotten, and frozen in time.

Our tears, our pain, for both will soon end,
If only you allow it, my lover and friend.
Frozen in time but all is not lost,
Nothing is gained, without some kind of cost.
Your feelings for me will soon start to thaw,
Melting away like the ice and the snow.

As winter retreats, cold winds blow warm,
Again we will meet, in each other's arms.
Rekindle our love from embers to flame,
Winters, cold finger, we shall now tame!
Ice now makes way, for the fire deep inside,
No longer, from our love, shall we hide!

Through fire, through ice our love will suffice,
To carry us through this our mortal life!
In times of darkness and times of pain,
Ne'er shall be dampened by cold winters rain.
Together we stand, together we're one,
Dancing and laughing, in the springtime sun.
